ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hi, I'm Opal / Briar! I've been an artist my whole life but I got into digital art at 13. I was born and raised in the USA but I recently moved to the UK with the love of my life and got married last year (2023)! I predominantly draw MLP/ Furry content but I have other interests too. I love video games, anime, films/ movies, gardening and swimming!Thanks for dropping by and checking out the FAQ!

AUCTION RULES / INFO
TERMS
[SB] Starting Bid: This is a set starting bid placed by the seller. This is the minimum someone can start a bid for.
[MI] Minimum Increase: This is the MINIMUM amount of increasing a bid set by the seller. Note* you may increase a bid higher than the minimum increase, but NOT lower than the minimum.
[AB] AutoBuy: This is a price determined by the seller that instantly ends the bidding. Often this price is far higher than the starting bid to encourage bidding. Sometimes “TBA” (To be Added) is placed in this slot. This means an AB is being added later and there is no maximum cap for bidding until it is placed.
[TBA] To Be Added: Self explanitory
[N/A] Not Applicable: Usually appears under AB, letting everyone know that I will not be adding an AutoBuy price.
**I do not always place AB.
AUCTION RULES
NO fake bids. I will permanently ban those who place fake bids and I have a zero tolerance policy for it. Please be respectful and decisive. If you wish to withdraw your bid LET ME KNOW. Do not simply delete your bid or you will be assumed a fake bidder. I’m not going to bite if you change your mind about bidding as long as you let me know! Things happen and I’m very forgiving as long as communication is there. **However if there are several repeated instances of withdrawing bids, I may restrict your access to auctions.
Please respond to the previous bidder in the bidding chain! I know some users have their mentions turned off. If that’s the case, don’t worry! Just make sure you hit “reply” under their user, they should still get the notification.
**If you have your mentions turned off and you don’t get the notification that someone has outbid you, that is not the responsibility of me or the other bidder! Please pay close attention to your notifications if you partake in an auction.
In the rare instance that a set AB price goes unnoticed and a bidding war surpasses the set AB, it will be void and I will remove the cap. Please pay very close attention to the bidding prices! I always tag current bidders and make a public announcement when AB is set if it is not set upon posting.
This goes without saying but be respectful with other bidders. Lashing out, guilt tripping, or pouting over being outbid will not be tolerated. Please treat me and everyone else with respect! You will be ejected from the auction or even outright banned if I catch anyone behaving poorly.
If an auction is closed (whether AB is placed or the highest bidder holds their position) and the winner backs out, I will automatically go to the second highest bidder. If there is no second highest bidder OR the second highest bidder declines, I will relaunch the auction.
CHARACTER RIGHTS
Those who purchase character designs from me are assumed the have read, understood, and will respect my rules.
Winners of autions will get a download link(s) to the artwork of the character as a high res, PNG. If the buyer has a Toyhouse page, I will transfer the character and all the art through Toyhouse. (Having or using Toyhouse is not required, but I reccomend it).
Here is what you CAN do with the character:
Give any gender/name/backstory/personality etc. Have fun! This is your OC now and I love to see what people do with them <3
Use the art as personal use decor/icons/banners. No permission needed, but art credit is prefered!
Edit the design to personal tastes (do NOT edit the artwork I provided without asking first please!)
Co-own the OC with others (note: I never get involved with co-ownership disputes. Please do not bring me into it!)
-You may trade or gift the OC any time you like! You may also resell but please scroll further down for my resell policy.
Here is what you can NOT do with the character:
Do NOT edit my art without permission to change the character to your tastes. If it’s a small adjustment, I MIGHT do it for you for free or simply give you the okay to do it yourself. If the change is major, it is up to you to either draw it yourself, or commission someone else.
Do NOT use the art I created to make commercial merchandise without my permission. You own rights to the character however I am not selling you the rights to (for example) make my art into stickers to sell. If you wish to make your own art of the character or commission someone to make the art for sale, then that is fine!
Do NOT use any of my art or art that you did not create to make bases or tracings of. Once again, you have a right to the character design, not a right to rip off my artwork!
Do NOT resell the character for more than the price of purchase UNLESS you have created or commissioned any extra art of the OC. After that, you may sell the character for as much as you like!

My commissions are only open for very short periods of time with limited slots. The type of commissions offered varies greatly from opening to opening. I offer a range of different types including:

BEFORE YOU DM:
“Are your commissions open?”
Commissions are most often closed. You can jojn my Discord server back in the Directory in order to get Pinged (notified) when they open! I like to give advanced warning due to how limited my slots must be. I currently do NOT plan to have a waitlist.
“Do you do customs?”
Nope, sorry. I'll never take customs again. They make me very unhappy and I simply don't like doing them anymore!
“Do you have a Pinglist for commissions/ adopts/ sales?”
YES! I have a Discord Ping Server that you can use to be pinged for all of this and more! Please go back to the Directory page to find a link to the server.
“What size is your canvas?”
I start with a “screen size” canvas (2732 x 2048) but I draw rather small and crop it as needed. Often my finished works are below 1000 x 1000 pixels. I like the crunchy, pixely look!
“Do you do Art Trades/ Requests?”
Only for close friends!
